A Clean Certificate is an official document provided after effective cleaning of an ISO tank container. It confirms that the tank has been:

  • Thoroughly cleaned using industry-approved methods
  • Inspected to ensure no residual materials or contamination remain
  • Guided by ISO 22000 Food-grade Management Systems and other relevant international food-grade transport standards authorities

To ensure compliance with Jamaican regulations and maintain food safety standards, ISO tanks being dispatched to an exporter must be accompanied by a cleanliness certificate issued in Jamaica before being dispatched to the distillery for filling with food-grade bulk liquids, intended for export. You should confirm this with the distillery you are working with.

ISOCON-JLB encourages ISOTANK Owners, Lease agents and exporters to ensure their tanks are accompanied with a Cleanliness Certificate for all exports from Jamaica.
